Hardish but comfy beds. Could hear footfall noise from upstairs room. No toiletries apart from three mini bars of soap. Towels fluffy but not the biggest.
On the main road so easy access but traffic noise from open window as room was so hot. Shower cubicle was decent, no bath. Laminate floor throughout so ideal for the dog.
Good for a stop over.

What made it worse was the service, maybe if the waitresses smiled or even had some manners. Had to ask for food to be taken away from table, we were never asked how the food was or if we needed anything. no glasses were taken away either so tables were just a mess. Will not be back.

Full English breakfast which was great. Staff very pleasant and more than helpful with directions etc.
At the end of the day you get what you pay for. This is not expensive for a clean comfortable room.

We had 3 hour drive up and were looking to arrive around 9pm.
We arrived just before this and managed to park outside from a lovely young man who helped us. We walked in to what is a pub with a box with a shutter for reception, kids playing on the stairs and no staff to be seen. We stood around for a few minutes, when a waitress pressed a bell and somebody came. We paid and got our key.
We were on the top floor and whilst going up with cases had to bypass several children who were playing on them.
The room was small with a double bed against a wall (which I hate!) and a bathroom across the landing! Both, of which were not mentioned in the booking or on arrival.
We chucked the bags in the room and went down to see what food was a a available. We had not been asked if we would be eating, so a bit disappointed to be told the kitchens had just closed.
We went to the takeaway across the road which was quite nice.
Sleep was minimal due to it being on a busy road. We didn't have breakfast as we were leaving at 4.30am (No reduction given).
Overall, I've done 11 years in the hotel industry as management and over 35 years travelling around the world. This is a pub with rooms, no customer service and not for us.
