Best steaks in the area, always fantastic. We selected 2 steaks and veggie burger - all on time, picked up and ate at home, great chips and onion rings, but... read more the steaks as always the highlight. Thank you!!!

Cooked from frozen food and rude waitresses - Went for the set dinner today and none of the food tasted fresh except the cheesecake dessert.. definitely the worst Christmas dinner I've had everything was made from frozen. roast... read more potatoes, veg, stuffing. What made it worse was the service, maybe if the waitresses smiled or even had some manners. Had to ask for food to be taken away from table, we were never asked how the food was or if we needed anything. no glasses were taken away either so tables were just a mess. Will not be back.

Arrived about 9pm Sunday 10/11. Booked in easily and was given a very nice room with en suite. Had a drink in the very welcoming bar and had a good... read more chat with some of the locals.
Full English breakfast which was great. Staff very pleasant and more than helpful with directions etc.
At the end of the day you get what you pay for. This is not expensive for a clean comfortable room.

Amazing, great getting woke up at early doors!! Needs a full change of management. Everything is so outdated. - Interesting place, seems to be full of characters. Got a mojito to test the water, and was really tast, bar staff were really nice, wouldn't recommend to the light hearted,... read more certainly tourists might feel threatened.

Cheap but accommodation was poor. Room stank of cigarette smoke topped off with air freshener. En suite room only had a shower, the toilet was down the hall and used... read more by other guests. Bedding appeared to be clean until I found the dead wasp... food in restaurant was mainly meat, very limited vegetarian options. For prime time Saturday night the restaurant only had 3 tables occupied with most of the tables unbooked, spoke volumes about local custom... Pub noisy, road outside very busy. I DO NOT recommend.

We booked two en-suite rooms in December last year but when we arrived we only had one with en-suite. Apparently we should have been told when we booked but we... read more weren't. We pointed out that we were charged the same price for both rooms and were given a five pound refund. "Hotel" might be stretching it. The bed in one of our rooms had a dead wasp in it. Plugging the kettle in wasn't straightforward as the lead didn't easily reach the socket. A light over a mirror didn't work. A budget place to stay it might be, but we won't be returning or recommending it.

Great quality of steak and we have experienced it before but mum and dad haven’t so we booked a table for the four of us so dad could have his... read more steak. Service as always first class and mainly served by Fraser ... he is an asset to this establishment . Drinks ordered and menus perused and mum had a small portion of fish and chips and peas , dad had the 8oz ribeye cooked medium and to perfection served with onion rings and a few chips and I asked for gravy as he loves gravy and sure as anything the gravy went down well as did the steak. Locally sourced steak and the quality is amazing . Hubby had the sea bream and again beautifully cooked ( any many know fish can be easily overcooked ) The flavours were delicate but married well with the dish. Me ... I had the beef curry served with a naan and rice and chips . Half rice / half chips which is a great concept . Lovely sauce accompanied the beautiful good quality beef. Me I had vanilla ice cream and mum had a mix of ice cream. Sadly she couldn’t finish it as she enjoyed her fish and chips so much that she was full. Yes there are offers and so those on a budget can experience the deals . Steak for obvious reasons on that day were not on the deal menu but I think they still have the steak nights with deals . Just call and ask. Thanks again Fraser for
Wonderful service and patience and understanding . Food fabby
